Located at the main entrance, our reception staff is ready to answer your questions, handle admission procedures, and provide directions. (Ext: 1000 – 1001)
Identity Verification
After the identity of every patient admitted to the hospital for daily surgical procedures or inpatient care is verified, a barcoded wristband is attached by the patient consultant. The wristband includes information such as name, surname, birth date, and protocol number. Following birth, a band carrying the mother's identity information is also attached to the baby's wrist; these bands are not removed during your stay in the hospital.
The companion staying with the patient reports their identity to patient services daily, and the information is recorded. Visitors and companions can go to the patient room using the cards they receive in exchange for their ID at the reception desk. Visitors without cards are not accepted. All hospital staff carry visible hospital ID badges containing their name and photo. Personnel without an ID cannot enter patient rooms.
Baby Safety
Ensuring patient and baby safety during your hospital stay is our primary responsibility. Immediately after birth, a barcoded wristband carrying the mother's information is attached to the baby's wrist. After the baby's first examination and care, they are taken to the mother's room and stay with the mother until discharge.
Transporting the baby within the hospital by staff is done using a special baby cot; babies are not carried in arms. No personnel or individual other than the pediatrician and nurses can take the baby out of the room. The IDs of the personnel authorized to take the baby from the room are different from other staff (there is a pink band on the ID). It is recommended that a family member accompanies the baby for procedures conducted outside the room.
For the health of the baby and mother, large numbers of visitors and individuals with contagious diseases are not allowed in the room. Apart from the baby's siblings, children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the patient room for health reasons.
Valuables
Valuables and personal items belonging to our inpatients can be stored in electronic safes in the patient room with a personalized password. You can get information about using the safe from the nurse or patient consultant. If requested to leave valuables with the hospital, the patient services supervisor is notified; the officer receives the personal items against a receipt, and they are kept in the patient rights unit.
Patient Services Supervisor
Patient services provides intra-hospital coordination to meet the needs and expectations of patients and their relatives. (Ext: 164)
Patient Rooms
In rooms where patient safety is prioritized, there are nurse call devices and telephones in the bedhead units and bathrooms. Room ventilation works via circulation, with care taken to provide fresh air. All rooms have a thermostatic temperature control unit. Windows can only be opened by authorized personnel.
The remote control for satellite TV is located next to the screen. You can obtain the hospital's wireless internet password from the information desk (Ext: 1000). Inpatients are provided with free wireless access for specific periods. There are spare pillows and quilts in the wardrobe; the electronic safe is inside the cabinet. You can get information on how to use the safe from the nurse or patient consultant. The use of certain household electrical appliances in patient rooms and within the hospital is restricted.
